Alert@Work Services - Disability/Return to Work

Shift work employees experience higher rates of sickness and disability. This assessment will determine to what extent shiftwork is impacting on their condition and provide information to determine if they can safely return to shift work.

Purpose:

To provide managers, physicians, human resources and occupational health and safety professionals with information regarding an employee's ability to adapt to and withstand the rigors of shift work.

This information may be required when an employee demonstrates various symptoms of shift work dysfunction even while still working, when an employee is returning to work after long-term sick or disability leave or when a shift worker is involved in a work accident or major incident of sleepiness at work.

Outcomes:

  • Physiological Profile

  • Compilation of Risk Factors

  • Assessment of Self-care Strategies

  • Impact of Work Conditions
